MAYAMI & LABANA YIN YANG CITIES

GOZANDO EN LA HABANA video oficial

MAYAMI Y LABANA YIN YANG CITIES

El Nuevo Herald recently published an article which included mention of Rafael Fornes and the Summer 'American Cities' Studio at University of Miami. At a conference at the Spanish Cultural Center (CCE) on Miami's multiculturalism, Rafael presented a map entitled El Malecon de Miami. The map was produced by a group of Rafael's students here at the School of Architecture. The conference, Miami: Ciudad-Metafora, was held by a coalition of Miami-based visual artists and writers who originally arrived in Miami not expecting to settle long term.

Rafael was quoted in the article. "...It is marvelous that this conference has been achieved at the CCE...This group of artists exemplify distinct visions. There are Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians...and, behind it all, a body of theories that revolve around the idea of the multifaceted experience unique to Miami..."
